The Cranbrook & District Kennel Club sponsored their 47th Annual Dog Shows and Rally Obedience Trials on August 23-25, 2019 at picturesque Moir Park in the remote community of Cranbrook, British Columbia nestled in the heart of the majestic Rocky Mountains in western Canada.

Written by Richard Paquette

Like following a Recipe for ‘baking a cake’ the show committee of the Split 4 Summer Nights Shows has assembled and combined all the necessary ingredients to guarantee a successful outcome.

Heartland French Bulldog Kansas

Written by Ann Wildman

I was delighted to receive the judging invitation from The Heartland French Bulldog Club in Kansas, USA, which is well known for the 1950 movie The Wizard of Oz. I have never judged in the USA so was really looking forward to it.

Mechelen 2019 - St Rombouts Cup

Written by Karl Donvil

It is getting more and more difficult for clubs to organise their yearly dog shows. One of the shows that has had serious problems is the show of Mechelen.

The Rose Of Kotka Show

Written by Paula Heikkinen Lehkonen

This traditional and popular show has got its name from an old song. Kotka is a harbour city on the southeastern coast of Finland. The song tells about a sailor who meets a girl in a saloon and asks her to dance with him.

Bournemouth Canine Association 2019

Written by Nikki Skinner

The Bournemouth Canine Association committee and helpers had their steel tested this year, with winds of up to 60 mph zipping through Dorset the night prior to the show, and were then subsequently plagued by incredibly strong winds throughout day one.

Kuopio August Show

Written by Paula Heikkinen Lehkonen

The traditional Kuopio August show was this time only a one two-day international show. Every second year it is a three-day cluster with three different shows, called the Sawo Shows. Savo is the name of the county.

National Gundog Association

Written by Angie Cooper

THIS SHOW is always a favourite show with Gundog exhibitors, and this year did not disappoint. Chris Bexon, Honorary Secretary for the last 22 years, ably assisted by his wife told me: ‘The secret of it is, a good team of people who want to work together for one aim.’

Indonesia Winner 2019

Written by Our Dogs - Vince Hogan

The second-ever Indonesia Winners show took place in August in warm Indonesian weather but in an excellent air-conditioned hall on the outskirts of Jakarta.

Paignton Championship Show

Written by Our Dogs

Paignton is one of the UK’s national treasures, slightly off the beaten track but loved by so many, with a great committee who work so hard to bring a consistently good show to us all each year.

I was just back from a rollercoaster ride from down under Australia and straight to Serbia to cover the National Dog Show CAC Aleksinac, International Night Dog Show CACIB Sokobanja, and the National Dog Show CAC Paraćin at the end of July.

Eukanuba Summer Show 2019

Written by Paula Heikkinen Lehkonen

July WAS extraordinarily warm in Finland. The hottest weekend was the last weekend in July, when we had the traditional two-day Eukanuba Summer Show.

Liege 2019

Written by Karl Donvil

With lots of pride, Mr Boclinville, the President of the club Syndicat d’Elevage Canin de Liège, told me that he had a record entry this year. I was somewhat suspicious as this was a double show and Committees used to count up the entries of both shows in order to make it look more successful.
