Jyvaskyla - a show to remember

Written by Administrator

I was delighted to be invited to Jyvaskyla in Finland, and while I have judged in 22 different countries, this was my first visit to Finland (the snow was a bit of a shock to the system).

The show had drawn a huge entry of well over 5,000 dogs over the two days! The judging panel contained judges from many different countries. The UK was well represented with Mrs Meg Purnell-Capenter, Michael Gadsby, Des Jenkins, Ronald James, Colin Reed and daughter Melanie Reed-Peck, Grace Goodwin, and it was Graces BOB Apso that finished BIS.

For the second consecutive time the Malta Kennel Club held a Double International Show (Crufts qualifier and CAC/CACIB) on Saturday 29th and Sunday, 30th November, 2014.

We are proud to say that this is the only International Show on the island registering such a high number of entries, and which attracts a significant amount of foreign entries, thus classifying it as a show of high standards.
