The green grass in the rings in the open air in the showground of the Bulgarian Republican Federation of Cynology, the beauty of the surrounding mountains and the bright sun all four days welcomed around 300 participants. They came not only from Bulgaria and neighbour Greece, Romania, North Macedonia and Serbia, but also from Poland, Austria, Switzerland, France, Hungary and other European countries.
The quality of the represented dogs was rather high and gave a good opportunity of the judges - Galina Todorova, Vihra Grigorova, Georgi Apostolov and Antoan J. Hlebarov from Bulgaria and Petru Muntean from Romania, to choose their winners.
The first day it was the elegant Basenji taking BIS and the last day the glamorous Miniature Poodle. The big winner was the miniature longhaired dachshund Katerinapark Danila. Its owner Mrs. Marina Evers, as a real dog ambassador, brought the good traditions of the British cynology, when she chose Bulgaria for her second home.
The successful start of the dog show season in Bulgaria gives hope for an even better and brighter future. The preparation for the next shows in July and August has already started. Although the Covid virus is still around the other virus, the one of the passion for dog breeding and showing, is stronger!
