The exhibitors list were from 29 countries, but the most exhibitors were from Italy, Slovenia was just second. A little bit interesting was, there were more dogs from Finland 60, and Russia 57, than from Hungary, 54, which is the neighbouring country. Thre were more judges than average, there were 22 rings (means the average were 60 dogs/rings), the judge list was international too. Beside the home judges were more foreign judges: Zlatko Kraljic (Cro), Pierluigi Buratti (I), Günther Ehrenreich (D), Anna Rdlicka (Pl), John Wauben (Nl), Knut Blütecher (N), Bjoern Fritz (D), Maria Ceccarelli (I), Jean Francois Vanaken (B), Brigitta Svarstad (S), Jochen Eberhardt (D), Per Svarstad (S), Tapio Erola (SF). The highest entry numbers were in the following breeds: Bulldog 30, Golden Retriever 30, Labrador Retriever 44, French Bulldog 38.
The organisation was good, catalogue ok, rest rooms ok, but there was only one place to buy any food at the show, which sold grilled meats, not too wide a selection, good meats but with a lot of smoke… fortunately they were outside.
The speciality of the show was the order of the Groups in the Saturday BIS programme, nobody knows, why, but the order was 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, 3, 5, 6, 7. I did not meet anybody in the from the organising committee who knew why.
Saturday’s BIS was judged by Zlatko Kraljic from Croatia, and he chose the Black Miniature Poodle, Miss Fiona od Lalanki, bred and owned by Beata Matlawska from Poland.
Sunday’s BIS was judged by Miroslav Zidar (Slo), and he chose the Dobermann, Pride Of Russia Ruslana, bred by A. V. Gorbatchev and owned by Larisa Konoplya from Russia.
