Sydney Royal Show BIS 2026

‘Anton’ is now the winner of Sydney Royal and Melbourne Royal, Australia’s biggest and most prestigious royals. He is the winner of 81 Best in Shows aged 4 years old.

He made history that day, being the only dog in nearly 100 years to win it back-to-back. The last time it was won back-to-back was in the 1930s. Only 2 dogs now hold this record one being Anton. James Bennet told OUR DOGS, “We only decided 2 days before the breed day to actually attend, as we didn’t want to show him and lose the memory we felt from his BIS win last year. But we decided to show him and see what happens.

To end up in the best-in-show ring 2 years in a row is a feat in itself; the atmosphere and roar of the crowd are indescribable. The moment they announced the standard poodle, I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and gratitude. It’s truly an honour to have Anton as our show dog, as he is our beloved bed dog.

Words cannot describe the feeling; except we are just so grateful and proud of all he has achieved.”
