Sweden 2019 Review

Stockholm Hundmässa 2019

Stockholm Hundmässa 2019
The last show of the season is now always held in Stockholm and organised by the Swedish KC. This year the entry was over 7,000 dogs without puppies and with obedience, agility and freestyle the entry was 8,000 dogs.

National All Breed Show, Västerås

Best in Show at Västerås in Sweden was the German Shepherd Dog, Qazy av Quantos, owned and bred by Tor Johansen from Norway. BIS Judge (centre) was Paula Heikkinen Lehkonen, also pictured is the Chairman of the Show Committee, Bengt Pettersson.
There was a national all-breed show in Västerås, Sweden, on the last weekend of April. There were almost 3,000 dogs entered, so the show committee was pleased as it was more than the previous year.

Stockholm Winners 2018

Best in Show at Stockholm 2018 Show was the Hungarian Puli, Int Ch Rackarörzo Zala, jointly owned by two Breeders, Jesper Ravn in Denmark and Kati Taipale in Finland. He was bred by Viktor Brauswetter in Hungary.
The main show of the Swedish Kennel Club, the Swedish Winner Show was held on the second weekend of December. The whole event was called Stockholms Hundmässa, Stockholm Dog Fair.

Farmdogs Club Champ Show

These charming little dogs probably have their origin in the Pinscher breeds and the British white terriers that Jack Russell and Fox Terriers also originate from. There are many paintings and photographs of these farmdogs from the 1800s to early 1900s although from paintings from the 1400s you can see dogs that are similar to todays Farmdogs.

Halland Show

Oulu International Shows

My Dog, Dog Show International Event was held in the Gothina Towers Complex, Gothenburg, Sweden over four days from the 3rd to the 6th January. I was judging over all four days. The Swedish Kennel Club held their International two-day championship show at Boras with top entries all round, which is more than can be said for the weather! However, Robert Paust, both in his official and unofficial capacities more than compensated for the intermittent showers with his incredible sense of humour.
