City of Birmingham 2019

Best in Show was the Akita Ch Am Ch Stecal’s Remember My Name owned by Ms Carol & Miss Faye Bevis, Mrs Rachel Corr & Mr Keith Venezia

Celebrating its 75th anniversary, the City of Birmingham’s annual show place from 29th August -1st September 2019. First held in 1944 in the ‘Big Top’ on a reclaimed bomb site in Birmingham centre, the show was an initiative by the city council as a ‘morale booster’ during WW2.

Luxembourg Autumn 2019

Best in Show at the Luxembourg autumn show was the Cairn Terrier, Limecastles Gangster Of Love, owned by Alice Zanchi from Switzerland. BIS Judge was Paul Jentgen (Luxembourg).

Last year we didn’t have an autumn edition. The government ban on the Luxembourg shows was finally lifted and we saw a new start in Spring.

Scottish KC August 2019

Best In Show, judged by Liz Stannard, was Val Freer and Sue Smith’s Samoyed Ch Nikara Diamond Dancer, seen here with SKC Convenor Stuart Payne, SKC Secretary Gillian Jones and Ali Morton for Royal Canin.

A very elegant Liz Stannard stepped into the ring to judge Best in Show from a lovely line-up of group winners on the last day of a sunny SKC.

The Cranbrook & District Kennel Club sponsored their 47th Annual Dog Shows and Rally Obedience Trials on August 23-25, 2019 at picturesque Moir Park in the remote community of Cranbrook, British Columbia nestled in the heart of the majestic Rocky Mountains in western Canada.

Welsh Kennel Club 2019

Jason Lynn pictured with the Afterglow kennel’s latest Best in Show winner, Ch Afterglow Poppa Don’t Preach co-owned with Tom Isherwood. Grace is the glorious Poodle (Standard) who took the prestigious award at the Welsh Kennel Club under Jonathan Daltrey (Bananadance) last weekend.

the Welsh Kennel Club championship show took place from Friday 16th - Sunday 18th August at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells. There were 7224 dogs making 8446 entries in total.

Mechelen 2019 - St Rombouts Cup

BIS at Mechelen on Saturday was the Miniature Bull Terrier, Vicky Of Bully Lake, owned by Francesca Scorza Petazzi from Italy. BIS Judge was Torsten Lemmer (Bulgaria).

It is getting more and more difficult for clubs to organise their yearly dog shows. One of the shows that has had serious problems is the show of Mechelen.

The Rose Of Kotka Show

This traditional and popular show has got its name from an old song. Kotka is a harbour city on the southeastern coast of Finland. The song tells about a sailor who meets a girl in a saloon and asks her to dance with him.

Bournemouth Canine Association 2019

The Bournemouth Canine Association committee and helpers had their steel tested this year, with winds of up to 60 mph zipping through Dorset the night prior to the show, and were then subsequently plagued by incredibly strong winds throughout day one.
